Main Shaft
The main shaft of the wind turbine is usually forged from hardened and tempered steel. The main shaft transmits a low speed rotational force from the rotor hub. Kinetic wind energy to the gearbox enables high speed rotation, which spins the generator and thus creates electrical energy.
